Leeds United could benefit by strengthening rivals with Perkins’ show of faith
Sonny Perkins needs first-team football to continue his rapid development as a footballer. The Leeds United forward made it abundantly clear last season with his eye-catching performances for the club’s Under-21s as the Whites won Premier League 2 Division 2 promotion.
Perkins bagged himself 13 goals at youth level in his first season at the club, following his move from West Ham United last summer. Part of that also came in the opening few months of the campaign, as the 19-year-old announced himself to United fans by bagging eight in his first seven games.
His goals in the youth team saw him make three senior appearances for the Whites and while he is still waiting for his league debut to finish, he has a first-team goal to his name, grabbing a late equalizer in the third round of the FA Cup. in Cardiff City. He is one supporter to watch this season, then, eager to see how the England U19 international progresses through the senior ranks.

Agent’s daily phone calls and ‘street mentality’ make Leeds life ‘extremely difficult’
The street mentality around Leeds United’s training ground has made things chaotic for Crysencio Summerville in what he now admits has been a ‘very difficult’ opening six months. The Dutch winger laments his poor English, living in a hotel and away from his favorite people during the transfer where he calls his agent every day for an escape route.
Last night, Summerville was involved as the Netherlands crashed out of the European Under-21 Championship at the group stage. The 21-year-old will now rest and consider his future.
There are three years left on the contract Summerville signed in August, but he admitted this month he does not know if he will be at Elland Road next year. Summerville has made it clear, more than once, that his agent is under strict instructions to hold back any transfer talks until after the summer tournament.
In an interview with Voetbal International, as reported by Feyenoord news platform 1908.nl, Summerville looked back at the beginning of his time with the Whites. The forward joined Leeds in September 2020 as an 18-year-old from the Rotterdam outfit.
